National Nurses United (NNU), the largest union of registered nurses in the United States, today announced they have endorsed Assemblymember Luz Maria Rivas to represent California’s 29th Congressional District, home to over 750,000 people in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles.

Retiring California Rep. Tony Cardenas (D) is bolstering support for California Assembly Member Luz Rivas as his successor, joining forces with the Hispanic Democrats’ campaign arm, an institution he grew into a major player.

The Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, which represents 800,000 workers in L.A. County, has endorsed Luz Rivas for Congress in California’s 29th District. The federation includes over 300 labor organizations representing both public and private sector workers in virtually every sector of the economy.
